SEARCH ENGINES
The most efficient way to generate traffic for Galaxymale.com, is to get to know the various Search Engines, and learn
how they work. Our Search Engines page will provide you with a short list of the
biggest and most popular of these useful tools.
We highly recommend that you visit each of these, and look up how to register with them. Physically registering
with each site is the best way to get listed quickly. Remember though that there are things that you can do in the
design of your site to get it listed even without registering.
Most Search Engines make use of a site's meta-tags and/or simple text on sites to find content and add listings.
Keeping this in mind, it is a good idea to pay special attention to your page's title, keyword and descriptor tags.
A strategic use of the text on your site is paramount to getting listed quickly.
At one time (and it still happens), it was common to find long lists of keywords at the bottom of a
page (ie.: twinks young guys teens gay - repeated over and over...). Although this strategy may still
work, it is more efficient to keep your descriptions at the top of your page, and many search engines consider
long lists to be a variation of SPAM, and it may actually lessen your chances of getting listed.
TGP Pages
Basically a TGP (Thumbnail Gallery Page) is a way to get content out for everyone to see. Create a
simple thumbnail page that links to a series of pictures(most thumbnail programs, such as Thumb's Plus, or ACDsee
have webpage functions that will do this for you automatically), throw on a couple banners or links to your main
site, visit a TGP submission page, READ THEIR RULES, and submit your gallery. (Our TGP and AVS
listings includes links to the most popular gay content TGP's). Most TGP sites require a reciprocal link (a
small button and a snippet of HTML) that you will also have to put on the page.
Generally, a thumbnail gallery is a single page which consists of between 15 and 20 thumbs. It is usually best to
keep these a single theme, or single model. Visit a few of the sites we've recommended, follow the links to individual
TGP pages, and you'll see how others are doing it. TGP Pages can be sub-domains of your main site, so no separate domain
name is necessary.
In other words, if your main site is called "hungstuds.com" your TPG pages can be contained in a subfolders called
"hungstuds.com/tgp1", "hungstuds.com/tgp2" etc.
For Thumbnail Galleries to be an effective tool, you should list each page with as many TGP sites as possible.
Although we have recommended a few, there are hundreds of these site. Visiting one will
usually provide you with links to several others.
AVS SITES
In promoting our site, you want to target users who have already demonstrated that they are willing
to pay for adult content. This is where AVS sites become a useful strategic tool. (See our TGP
and AVS listings for our recommended sites).
The best way to make AVS sites work for you is to create a series of mini-sites that recommend each other. These can
be themed sites, such as muscle boys or twinks, that are sure to target a particular user. Each page you create can
include banners or links to your main site, or you can even use hidden links (have a series of thumbnails linking to
pictures, with a single thumbnail that links to your page). A popular linking method is to have an incomplete picture
series that is followed by a link that says "See the Rest of This Hot Series", which of course sends the user to your
site.
Think of AVS sites as enlarged TGP pages... maybe 3 or 4 pages with 10 to 15 pictures on each page. In fact, once you
have created 3 or 4 TGP pages, you can link these to each other, give the collection a domain name, and a title page,
and presto! - instant AVS site!
AVS companies insist that you are the copyright holder of any images included on your AVS site. As part of the
Galaxybucks program, you don't have to worry about this, as we are allowing you to make use of our licensed content.
If you plan to use your own content to create a series of AVS sites though, be sure that you hold the licenses to any
images or media that you plan to post.
Contact us if you require hosting services for your planned AVS sites. We will arrange this free for our RevShare Program
participants.
